Selama proses penyelidikan Cut Tari pernah mengaku tertarik dengan Ariel karena ketenaran pribadinya. Pengakuan itu disampaikan kepada seorang penyidik pada Selasa (29/07) lalu, sebagai mana dilansir oleh tempointeraktif.com.
"Waktu itu lagu-lagu Peterpan lagi booming dan banyak wanita yang membicarakan dia sampai anak-anak kecil mengenal Ariel, sehingga membuat saya bertanya apa yang menarik dari Ariel. Karena semua orang membicarakannya saya lama-lama juga memperhatikannya dan akhirnya saya tertarik dengan pesonanya," ungkap Cut Tari kepada penyidik yang tidak boleh disebutkan namanya.

Namun Cut Tari tidak dapat memastikan kapan itu terjadi, dia mengaku lupa kapan mulai dekat dengan Ariel. "Saya tidak begitu ingat persis kapan saya dekat dengan Ariel, seingat saya mulai dekat sekitar tahun 2005," sambungnya.

Cut Tari juga mengaku tidak tahu kalau 'hubungan badan' itu direkam, namun hanya mengetahui kalau Ariel memainkan handphone.

Pengakuan itu belakangan, sesuai dengan yang disampaikan oleh pengacara Cut Tari, Hotman Paris Hutapea. Pada beberapa kali kesempatan Hotman menegaskan bahwa kliennya sebagai korban, yang diperdaya oleh pelaku yang selama ini disebut mirip Ariel.
